Exactly this, the email itself wasn't that bad and given it was also going to be advertised in a magazine, with an offer to use them professionally (maybe) for future events, it doesn't seem like the typical nobody wanting something for nothing.

They'd have probably got more business by doing it than being pathetic and posting their response.

The bakery said no. The company who asked on behalf of the actor did nothing, didn’t go public at all.

While it's a pretty arrogant thing for the promo agency to do (supposedly without said "celebrity's" knowledge), the response from the bakery was a bit OTT, and then posting it on social media was very much a **** move (at least without leaving the agency anonymous).

Assuming the story is true as written in the linked article then it seems the "celebrity" didn't really do anything wrong other than come forward and say it was nothing to do with her
