On my 125 ;)

36 in a 30, not disputing it never saw the mobile van just gutted as its the first speeding ticket in 15 years of driving and I manage to get caught on the CBF

oh well, wouldn't have been so bad if it was a decent speed not as if I had my knee down :)

You won't get much imo as they allow Upto 5mph over the speedlimit, let's hope they don't bother to press charges

If it was one of those blasted vans you probably will unfortunately, as they are far less forgiving than the Police themselves, as I believe that they are run by a different partnership, or something.

A bit of a pain, nevertheless!

I'm hoping for an awareness course so it doesn't mess up my insurance, but not holding out for it as my mum got caught by a camera doing 35 and they gave her points

South wales police are ****'s

Aye, my last ticket ( 11 yrs ago ) was 36 in a 30 courtesy of a van, got the standard 3 points & £60 fine, no other options where given, i just paid up & chalked it down to experience.

Depends on the van.

Some are forward facing only but some are forward and rear facing. Thought I had been clocked overtaking but turns out the van was forward facing only so they got a shot off me on the bike and nothing else.

I was caught by a van recently, and the only photo they had was of the back of my vehicle.

They were obviously using a telephoto lens though as they also managed to include a 30 mph sign in the shot, although it was some way ahead of me. The sign, not the van, that is!

So far as I can recall the vans are operated by the Road Safety Partnership (or similar sounding name) and operate independently of the local police forces, although they obviously work in conjunction with them.

just fingers crossed they do a speed awareness course, cost about £125, but you get no points and doesn't affect your insurance just your pocket

its £80 for speed awareness and no points vs 6 points and a fine,i went on one, stupid thing, and why would you tell your insurance about your points? i never did

True I'm just saying I've never once bothered to tell mine,

I did tell them when I got banned for 28days for doing 102mph on the motorway though Haha, when I was younger
