hi all,
my mother has just had her cbt but failed due to a bad instructor. does anybody know of any good cbt training centres in the somerset area?

why did she fail becasue of a bad instructor?? i blamed my driving instructor for me failing my test untill i failed a second time for the thing.

no facilities, tiny training area(couldn’t get up to 30mph). instructor had a nasty attitude was impatient and kept repeating "you can quit you know" or "give up if you want".

How much CBT training did she do? I know most of the ones around Cardiff I looked at do a 1 day CBT and if you're not quite up to scratch they invite you back for an extra half day for free to try again.

Thing is the cbt is not a test .. Its a course ..4hrs is way to short should be 2hrs in the class 2hrs in the car park and 2hrs on the road + breaks ..

When my son done his first cbt he was asked back on the sunday due to 8 people on sat (6 being chavs on peds) and him on a geared bike .. he done fine on the second day

I failed my first CBT, my legs are VERY long and i couldn't steer the bike properly. The instructor told me i was talking bull****. Hate bad instructors.

sounds more like your mum cant ride to begin with (no offence intended)

you have to remember and as silly as it may sound the purpose of a cbt isnt to teach you how to ride, the instructors have no obligation in doing so. The purpose is to educate you on how to ride safely, teach you the main things of the highway code, teach you how to use your bike i,e maneuvering it whilst on and off the bike and about safety checks again on and off the bike i,e safety checks of the bike and safety checks whilst riding the bike etc then finally you have roughly an hour and half on the road where they look to see if youve taken all of that onboard, hence it being very hard to `fail` or obviously very easy to fail if you cant ride to begin with.
