Right, the amp on the sub isn't earthed correctly and the amp is cutting out as there isn't enough power. Dunno why they affect the speakers but this is why is happens. Make sure the earth is touching bare metal. I find it better to find a nexisting earthing point for the rear lights etc and attach there.
The amp on the sub is fine as i said its the cd player headunit shutting off and turning back on...
I think the best thing for me to do is have a looksie next week take the cd player headunit out
The cdplayer is a pioneer mp3/cdrw/cd player
The sub/amp is a Xplod self powered sub , one of those ones that is a box shape with the amp/sub already attached
Disconnect the amp and see if it happens. I use to have this problem in the 206 with my DEH P77MP. I had a 4 channel amp with the sub. When I sorted the connections the problem went away.
Check the power cables to the battery, I had a very similar problem as it wouldnt load any cd's and would switch on and off until it gave a error message and when removing the whole install noticed the power cable was not connected to the battery.
