I hate how excited the audience gets for celebrity pointless etc but in the civilian version of the show they appear to be sedated.

Also, celebrities not putting effort into playing well because they're playing for charity not themselves.

Do the celebrities donate to charity anyway if they don't win any money/win a very small amount of money? They should.

I also don't watch saturday night tv as it genuinely depresses me.

Don't watch TV live, if I had more to do in my day I'd probably not watch anything at all, I'll watch the odd series here and there on BBC iPlayer.

Saturday night TV has never been great shakes but with the current obsession with the cult of celebrity means it has reached the real dregs. They have been stretching the definition of the word for a few years now.

These rubbish celebrity shows might be exceeding their target audiences if viewers like the posters in here who claim to hate them are actually watching them.
Advertisers love Nielsen ratings.

I'm 40 now and like the saturday night telly when I was younger I was never in on Saturday.

I genuinely feel sorry for you staying in for years on a Saturday night
