) and they don't have to be high mileage, just look properly. I found a fair few for £1800 and under with decent miles for the age (100k-130k) when I was looking before. 
They don't really have any common issues assuming that you go for a UK car. Some later imports will have the superstrut suspension which is great but expensive to rebuild every 60k (probably get more mileage out of a non-gt4).
