I'll watch AMD live and catch up tomorrow on Nvidia. I suspect it will just be a self flagellation with a bunch of people in the audience uncontrollably cheering for a trillion dollar company.

Can you guess I'm optimistic?

The forced applause is a little cringe to say the least. The attendees could be told they're all going to be shot and still whoop and holler like simpletons.

To be fair they are tech enthusiasts at a new reveal, I don't think they go to have a bad time. On some level any tech advancement is exciting IMO.

Picture it now, Jensen becomes a total chad and says the new DLSS now supports all RTX cards, the only limit being maximum performance which is realised more on RTX50 cards, whilst all previous cards benefit still anyway.

Imagine.

Yeah but they even applaud when the price is an obvious pisstake. Instead of breaking out the rotten fruit and veg and pelting the people on stage!

That's an expensive 10 hours! Were you not happy with it?

I'd say ebay first, to uk sellers, with good feedback. If you are happy at selling at RRP or less, then here, on the members market is also an option.

Well i bought it on a spur at the moment thing on release, then i gradually bought my new pc components over the following year, but i just kept on using my skylake 6700k, 2080 super pc, then when i finally got to use new pc, my dad was hospitalised for 3 months, and now his full time carer, so dont get real time for gaming, and if i do i just use my old skylake pc, new pc was for my oled tv, but because i have hospital bed now in my lounge, i had to move the oled tv out and new pc not used now, anyone that wanted a 4090 would have a true bargain, at the time of buying my new 4090, i turned down offers of like near £3K for it, but was never my intension to buy and sale for profit at the time, they were crazy times.

Sorry to hear that. If you need any help selling it just send us a message, I've sold a fair few now.

To be honest I'm looking myself at the best value ones just as much as the top end ones at the moment. I'm currently using a 3050 and it's been eye opening that playing FF7 (4k max settings) and Returnal 1440p (medium settings) have been very similar experiences to playing them on my 4090. Once you get gaming you don't really notice too much difference.

There's a few very odd games that make the most of the best cards, but honestly there few and far between. Witcher 4 and GTA6 are likely the next ones and they are still miles off.

When i do game, even my 2080 does 4k for most of the games i play, only got a 60hz monitor, so 60fps is ok for me anyway, buying the 4090 was deffo a spur of the moment thing, but the few times i did play games like alan wake 2 and other newer games was nice at better frame rate and most settings maxed out.

My new tv does 144hz on HDMI so that has raised the bar for me. I generally play older games (Bioshocks, Uncharteds etc) so don't necessarily *need* the best. It also depends on how much you like Ray Tracing. I'd say the games that made the most of my 4090 were Cyberpunk, Alan Wake 2 and Witcher 3. Would I get a much worse experience with a RT setting lower? Hard to say, I doubt it.

Which puts me in a good position of a 5090 been nice to have, but not essential. I'm not going to spend a grand extra over a 5080 for example. I d rather take that grand and invest it in speakers for my home theater or some such.
