CES 2025 AMD & Nvidia Keynote Live Chat [06/01/25]

Yeah it's clear from the Nvidia page the 50780 is NOT raw performance against a 4090 lol, with all the DLSS4 stuff it matches a 4090, but then you turn on DLSS on the 4090 and.... yeah.

The usual reviews will do a full breakdown no doubt. I don't need to panic YET.

50780? mrk stop crying over your keyboard mate, it's just the facts of Nvidia right now... DLSS +1 every new generation now to make the last generation worthless.. This is all part of the planned obsolescence and devaluing their old products in the 2nd hand market. To make people buy new instead of old.

Its with the new DLSS which renders upto 3 frames,so will need to see how it pans out. However,at least pricing seems to have mostly stayed the same at the other tiers.

I think I am going to stick to upgrading every 4 years or so. If games need to support new features,I can avoid them until I get a new card.

Crying? Lol I'm actually laughing, not at the 4090, I'm laughing at the uplift in numbers being shown, and that I need that sort of performance

I think the 4090 is already roughly double as quick as what I have (3080) at 4K. Going to be a big upgrade when I manage to get one. Will be nice not to have to gimp settings on my monitor finally
