Dispatches goes undercover to investigate allegations that teachers regularly assault young children in some of the 2,000 Muslim schools in Britain run by Islamic organisations.
The programme also follows up allegations that, behind closed doors, some Muslim secondary schools teach a message of hatred and intolerance.

Apparently this has been going on for years and nobody seems able to stop it.
Now I happen to be in favour of faith schools, but these are being run by some right sickos - who on earth thinks kicking children is a good thing?

No, the teachers were repeatedly kicking small children

In one bit, a load of older boys were allowed to gang up on another child and kick him while he was on the floor.

The rest of the programme was showing clips where they are taught to hate jews and any non radical muslims.
This isn't really daily mail spin, the videos were pretty indisputable
 
Why would anyone be surprised? It would be more surprising if a self-segregated environment ruled by a power-orientated religion didn't have any of this kind of thing going on.
 
The times seem to be changing, people are starting to openly criticize Islam and emigrants and question why we have been so afraid to say anything through fear of being labelled racists.

I dont think a show like this would have been accepted 3 years ago.
 
Watched that fool of a teacher controlling the class, yes he struck them 10 times in 2 days, on no occasion did it look to hurt, and at absolutely no time did he look to be remotely in control of the class.
Kids got much worse beatings in every school up and down the country 20 years ago.
As my father said, he would have done better to sit in the coner and cover his eyes and ears, utterly poor control.

Didn't bother to hang on to hear him preaching 'hate', so don't know if he did.

He's probably more of a lefty than me too......

Dull programme, advertised for weeks, and no substance.
 
Alright guys, I have just been talking to my Islamic teacher about this (a guy who comes around my house and gives lectures) he says that kicking and punching is NOT allowed. He also says that if the child is really young, before teenage years you can just give him a very light slap around the back or head. if he\she is an infant don't bother.

he actually did the slap to me for a demonstration and I have to say it was VERY light very much like a pat. And more importantly he told me you cant just hit them for no reason.

This type of discipline is familiar to all of Asia including the Middle-East. You guys should not been surprised.

I obviously condemn this type of discipline since I was brought up in a non-religious school but just look how they are disciplined, none of them argue back or start any type of anti-social behaviour like you see in many schools today.

That so called teacher is kicking children..what a moron. I hope the cops look in to this asap.
 
So according to there teachings you shouldn't trust a man with less than a handful of facial hair, does this count for pubic hair as well then?

I think he's referring to your strange spelling of "hair".

Anyway, I watched it - totally disgusting etc, shouldn't happen, probably more widespread than people think. The main people I hold responsible are the authorities however who refuse to do anything about this for fear of being labelled "non-inclusive".
