I've not seen the program yet so I wont comment, but having I've been living in and a round Keighley most my life (but I'm moving in a few days to Oxford yay but that's for a different thread) and the town probably has much bigger problems.

Not sure where you got the quote from but in response to just the quote alone. Considering it's an Islamic school, why would they not be in talks with the religious association? Presumably they run the school.

Good point, actually, I thought single faith schools were banned? Or are these 'private' schools?

Perhaps I should watch the video if I can be bothered.

"receiving cooperation" means that they are helping the police by giving them as much info as possible or detailing their teaching practices, who teaches and when etc etc, not that the Association is "allowing" the police to do their job.

I think you have the term "cooperation" confused in this case...




Edit: to make it clearer - I would suspect that the "cooperation" that this Muslim Association is providing is things like:

1. How long has he been a member
2. How long has he taught there
3. Details of people he has taught

Plus a whole lot more. This will be to build a profile and investigate more possible victims both at this Mosque and at any others he has been at....

Possibly, but it could also be that the Muslim Association wants to show that they are not trying to hide anything and further stoke the Religious fires that we currently have in the UK.
