Ahh come off it. The dodgy pen was cancelled out because there could have been another one. The 2 other goals came good movement and passing, so what if we took posession from a mistake? Man U were not at their best. Had they been, and had the Celtic keeper not played as well, Celtic would have been humiliated. FACT
 
i concor about the balancing on the penalties, United had a stone wall appeal turned down for a horrific platent block by McManus on Rooney.

Boruc played to his normal high standards. Your shots weren't good enough to beat him, that's part of the game. Sure, he had plenty to do, but that's what he's there for.

I don't understand the cancelled out penalty theory, you got a pen which was highly dubious and equalised with it, there's nothing that can cancel that out.


^Edit: Confusion, that block was outside the box, quite clearly.
 
not from where i was sat, but nether the less, it should have been a foul, the ref didnt give it because he knew he would have to send the player off.

Haha come off it. Boruc played to his usual standard, apart from the penalty incident.

The result was fair in the end. I just laugh at the Man U supporters who thought they would give us a good beating.

Once this Celtic side has time to bed in and some key players return from injury, we will be far more dangerous, and have a better defence.

Celtic has nothing to fear from Man U, and we should have a good chance at Park head.
 
Yes the result was fair. Man U deserved to win and should have won by a lot more and it wouldn't have been flattering, that is my point. This is going on clear cut chances. Celtic's goals came from a free kick (good goal, but had Saha jumped??) and a Ferdinand howler which gifted a chance to VoH, good finish mind.

You say Celtic would have been better if this and that. Well, you play with the team you have, Man U didn't have their best team out IMO and a few players had shocking games. Rooney, Ferdinand and Carrick for a start.

Celtic battled well but IMO they don't have enough quality to trouble europe's tops teams on their performance last night. Strachan needs more quality players.
 
Strachan has quality players....Albeit they are younger and inexperienced but for some reason they are overlooked....It's specualtion what Celtic paid for Jarosik but the region of £1 Million has been banded about.....TBH it's money that could have been used better, like a lads holiday or something :D

The lad is lazy to the point i expect him to pull a fold down chair out at times and have a seat midway in a game....He's been AWOL since our first game against Killie and should NOT be playing....Miller should have started lastnight, i don't buy in to this mince of fielding bigger built guys to stop Man U playing....If we're gonna attack we should be doing it properly.....Gone are the days of lobbing a long ball up to your HUGE frontman in the hope of bagging a goal.......Aston Villa can enjoy that shortly when MON finally settles right in......

Maloney back is what we need and FFS Gordon, why bother your arse signing Riordan early when he could have stayed at Hibs till Xmas and play regular football?!?! :confused:

Anyway, i was encouraged lastnight by what i saw at stages......I expect a home win in 12 days time ;)
 
Was a decent game, good atmosphere aswell. Managed to get home pretty quickly to, using the Exchange Quay tram station is a godsend.

Didn't like being outnumbered on the tram on the way down though was far too many crappy Celtic songs being sung too loudly
