Champions League Spoilers 28th/29th

Another stonking performance by the Gooners, really took it to Juventus. Juve looked shell shocked at times, Henry and Fabregas were simply amazing last night. Can see Arsenal going through fingers crossed if they get an away goal in Turin. Toure and Ebouie did well last night, really took it to Juve. Felt kinda sorry for Viera, he must be thinking why the hell did he move from Arsenal to Juve lol :p

Btw what the hell was that Camprinese doing as he was walking off the field after getting sent off??. Talk about being an idiot and trying to be bigger than the team as one of the commentators mentioned lol. Dont think Capello was too enthused with his antics, wouldnt be surprised if he got ripped into afterwards.

Go Gooners :D:D \o/.

Just thinking that 4-5-1 formation is looking very good for us, our plan B at last maybe. It gives us more bite in midfield and with our quick interchanging the lack of space isn't so much of a problem. We have lots of pace in midfield so we're never short up front anyway. What it doesn't do is effect the style in which we play i'm very pleased to say.

I think we should still play 4-4-2 in the prem mostly but when teams play 4-5-1 against us we should match the formation and create even less room to manouver, it will suit us more than them with our quality of passing etc. Also 4-5-1 looks very effective in europe and we look a different team to the previous seasons in the champs league.

so much is made out of these italian teams, yet they get beaten by an inexperienced/young arsenal side ;)

well done arsenal, it was a great match..one foot already in the semi's, now to beat em over there..shouldnt be a problem :)

As he was going off everyone was waving goodbye to him, and cheering Cheerio. I guess he liked us as he waved back!

Lol i guess so mate but the look on Capellos face was priceless, he definitely wasnt impressed. Personally i found it hilarious as i thought to myself WTF is he kissing and waving to the crowd for lol :p. Definitely a big ego on that fella, hopefully Capello deflated it quickly after the game was over.

It's funny isn't it? We were absolutely rubbish with the 4-5-1 formation for months, and then it's just seemed to click for us recently and now we look excellent with it. It pretty much just allows our four attacking mids to move all over the place when they feel like it, or push up when Henry drifts wide. It actually gives us more creativity than the usual 4-4-2 does in many ways. :)

Oh, and speaking of quality pictures, the one on arseblog was unbeatable:
EDIT: Hah, it's in the other thread. Timing :o

Team.
'Teams' implys plural, meaning you mean more than that just Juve.
Dont lump Milan, Inter or Fiorentina in with Juve. I doubt that Arsenal would have won so comprehensivly, if at all, against the other 3 team ive listed.

Juve play in a very efficient manner, like Chelsea.
And like Chelsea, they lack a creative midfielder who can spark something out of nothing, like Ronaldinhio, Kaka or Juninhio.
Efficient enough to grind out results, but not 'good' enough against teams who dont 'conform' to standard play. They are un-able to adapt quickly enough. Teams like Barca, Milan, Arsenal & Lyon arn't as ridgid as Juve, and can adapt to play against almost any team.

Seriously now, what have you got against me? Every single thread your in you try and find some way to take a dig!
And dont try and be coy and claim that im being paranoid.
Are you still annoyed that Utd got their rear handed to them last season or something? :p

& i fail to see why explaining why Juve can fail and comparing them to Chelsea is a lesson in Italian football.
