Champions League Spoilers 7th/8th March

Not a suprise Chelsea are out, they didn't deserve to go through last season and got what they deserved this season imo. No way that was a penalty, the great English CB Terry took a leaf out of Messi's book with some rolling eh, bet they didn't show a replay of it. Also thought Lampard wasn't playing until I saw him pop up at the end there, the 2nd best player in the world going missing against a top side? I thought Henry was the big match bottler ;)

That was the worst attacking performance I've seen from us in a long time, it was also a really dull game for some reason

I think Mourinho got his tactics wrong again, I think he thought at camp nou no way would Barca play a patient game and not go for the throat so had a team which would murder them on the counter but Barca weren't interested in sending everyone forward and both teams were just probing away at each other and kinda waiting for the other to make a mistake so they could quickly counter. This made the game appear a bit boring as neither side was really going for it. Barca's tactics were understandable but Chelsea HAD to get 2 goals so I'm suprised Mourinho didn't try a more attacking formation in the 2nd half.

Mourinho showing his class in the interview as well, what a bad loser. Chelsea deserved to lose this match and if they hadn't got a flukey penalty that would have been three wins to Barca and one to Chelsea over the last four games, if we look at the games they have played in the last 2 seasons Barca have looked the better side apart from a 25 min spell at Stamford Bridge last season imo.

Winning the league for MU once :)
Twice :(

But we needed to win for us too.

Still remember Harry Kewells's screamer at Highbury. Capped off a great win for Leeds :D
Yup, absolute screamer. That was when he was poo as well :p

Arsenal fans are still bitter about that too as I recall. Seem to think a hand was growing out of his chest. Its the only way it could've been handball.

I agree, maybe it was just something JM tried to unsettle them:/
Cole, Robben & Duff can all be devastating on their day, but each one looked like they didn't know what to do, and I think we've only started all 3 of them once this season so it's a big gamble in a game like that:(
I would have gone in with Makelele with Diarra sitting and letting Robben Cole and Lampard have a more free attacking role.

how long will mourinho stay at chelsea?

i dont see him as a manager that will stay for 5years, 10years whatever.

i think next year would be the last if they failed again in europe, not from the sack, but from his personal view

 :( Your lot helped Man utd win that treble in 1999, couldn't believe it when Jimmy scored that goal right at the end. We should have won the double but ended up with **** all and Man utd won the treble :(

Unlucky Chelsea and Rangers. I might dig occasionally, but I always want to see British teams* go through and do well. I think Chelsea will get the CL eventually, since it's not like they've got a bad European record, they just seem to come unstuck when a quality team is patient with them.

*Bar Spurs obviously. ;)

To be fair, it did seem as if you were having a pop at Liverpool and Arsenal fans
Nope, please don't put sellective (sic) words into my mouth, I said I hope that all the Liverpool & Arsenal fans who revelled in us going out suffer the same tomorrow. No complaints there:)

Aha, but wanting the gloating Pool/Arsenal fans to suffer tomorrow = wanting Pool/Arsenal to go out = ALL Pool/Arsenal fans will suffer! :(
