Hi all,

I think we have a few EFL supporters in the community, so rather than posts getting lost amongst the Greenlizard PL threads, it might just be worth posting EFL chat here.

Don't get used to this, but here at the Championship fixtures for the opening weekend.

After 2 years of hating football, I'm back looking forward to watching Leeds, no idea what to expect but I'm quietly confident I'll be happy most weekends this season.

There’s always next weekend  Leeds looking pretty threatening going forward with Sinisterra and Gnonto linking up. Same old with defending though, shocking

Decent stuff but all similar players. Need a good number 10 to unlock defences, the best one is in the crowed, retired :D

Good come back. One of those games where a team comes to just defend, we will struggle all season if we don’t get a striker and a number 10.

Summerville brilliant today. Hope we can keep him.

Gonna be an interesting couple of weeks of panic buying. Absolutely shocking starting 11 today and no surprise a loss.

Great half for us against Hudders, need to continue banging goals in whilst we can.

You've got to be feeling bit more positive with that half Andy? (sorry town just scored!)
Byram injured again so could be a bug loss? He's good at this level, when not crocked.
See we've signed Adam Forshaw for 12 + 12 option, know nothing about him.

Forshaw weird one. If you can keep him fit he will be great. He seemed to reject our contract offer as he was off to Saudi Arabia! Was surprised to see him sign.

Byram will be a loss as he’s been great

Wharton (Blackburn) is a class act, big future

Blackburn sure has a good academy, even 3 of the big England women's players came through there. No idea if the players are products of the academy or Blackburn has decent scouts, but certainly doing something right.

We have you soon, I'm sure things will be different by that time but yeah it was woeful watching on Friday.

We were good yesterday, when the attack is on song it should be comfortably the best in the league. Gutted about Djed Spence, 2 months out :(

I think Russell Martin has just used up whatever little goodwill was still left in the Southampton fanbase.

I was convinced he'd have been sacked if Boro beat you but that seems not to be the case. Every goal I have seen you concede in the last few games is trying to play out from the back!

Another cracking away win, beating Blackburn.

Has been a great weekend with both Preston and Ipswich slipping up.

Gutted for young McAteer getting injured.

You will run away with it like Burnley did last season. I think Ipswich will slip up eventually, as Preston has (their team on paper, looks so poor) - I guess Leeds still needs to get going, and I hope we can as the standard in the league is poor. Some sides can play football, but the majority are so bad; QPR, for example, did nothing, yet our 2nd half performance was just poor; we need to put these games to bed earlier.

Decent win for Leeds and for the rest of the Championship. Important to try and stop Leicester and Ipswich running away with it!

Yeah, the Championship standard is shocking this season. I can't see Ipswich or Leicester dropping enough points now, even with a little wobble, the rest aren't good enough, including Leeds to catch them. Farke needs to rest some players, and/or change the formation, Piroe is wasted at no10, Rutter and James were terrible last night, they need a rest. I know we've done well but the result doesn't often tell the whole story of how bad we've been but got the result. Swansea, Plymouth, QPR, Norwich all spring to mind of recent games, it's just good they are all terrible.

Ipswich play Leicester twice in the next 6 weeks I think, if they loose both of those suddenly Southampton and Leeds are breathing down their necks. They have had a stunning season so far but there is still a long way to go and they have smaller squad and shallower pockets than the other clubs at the top.

Well Leeds and Southampton aren’t exactly in formidable form right now. Certainly a must win for Leeds when they play Ipswich next.
