Chances of this '100 days of snow'?

So has anybody seen the Express article (http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/44...ith-heavy-and-persistent-snow-forecast-for-UK) on the 100 days of snow that's apparently going to hit us?

Seems like an exaggeration in my opinion, anyone else's thoughts on this?

On the mountain tops yeah pretty good odds maybe. Seeing as its only being reported in express dailymail. Then well about 1% chance of it happening.

Interesting article from almost the same time last year, talking about wildy exaggerated winter headlines:

Weather sells newspapers they said; admitting that each and every time they had a front page story on extreme weather, their circulation went up by around 10%.

Whether the forecast was right or wrong didn't seem a concern, after all, the newspaper was only reporting on what was being forecast by the weather company in question. How did they know whether it would turn out to be right or wrong?

And one would assume that any small private weather company, in a difficult completely un-regulated sector which is dominated by the state-funded Met Office, is happy to get some free, valuable publicity.

I think they meant to say 100 days of rain.

Stafford will just see the usual 2 inches around February time. Last time I saw 'decent' snow (decent as in 6"+) was back in the mid 90s.
