So what do you think? A year ago I would laugh at such idea... but now....

Well have you ever considered they want to come to a country in the G7, a country with the oldest democracy in the world, where freedoms of speech, self expression, religion etc etc are about as ingrained as anywhere else in the world?

Basically they see that by hanging under a lorry, stowing away in an aircrafts landing gear, paying vast sums of money to be trafficked here they could possibly feed from the crumbs we leave on the table?

Basically, they're coming here because here is awesome.

There's 2 ways we can combat that, 1.. lock the doors. Well we're trying that and it's not working. or 2, maybe try and make the rest of the world a bit better? Put more money into development, maybe make entering the country legally a bit easier etc etc.

And if you think these people coming here working for well under minimum wage living 10 to a house are anything to do with our speculative housing bubble you're living on a different planet.

If we make the rest of the world "nicer" our quality of life would drop drastically...

Just imagine we start paying every worker in the East a minimal UK wage per hour (which isnt even that high compared to some EU countries)

We`d be dead.

Wait, let me get this straight. Many of the super anti-immigration clan in this thread have either.

A. Emigrated to other shores in the past to return to the UK recently

or

B. Threaten to emigrate to another far off country, should immigration continue in this country?
