I am running Xp at the moment on my netbook on sammy 64 SSD.I would like to install win 7 on it. My question is : will thee be an overall perfomance increase?
Will a full format clean all the cells? Or do i have to use any other tools like wiper or similar?

I doubt there will be any performance increase. If it's an Atom based netbook, practically any decent SSD will be bottlenecked on it's SATA150 controller.

No, a full format won't clean the cells. Create a boot stick with HDDErase on it and run that. This will wipe all data off the drive, and you can then install Windows 7.

You've not said what Samsung SSD you have, but in any event no "online" tools exist to clean used cells and TRIM is not supported and Wiper only works on Indlinix drives.

You may be lucky and have a GC firmware if it's a Samsung PB22-J in which case it will clean during idle periods.
