Changes coming to Amazon Prime

Tipping should be at your discretion cash-in-hand directly to the person providing exceptional service for you e.g takeaway delivery driver, taxi driver, or at the gents salon. Why would I want to pre-tip someone where the tip now has an audit trail!

I doubt the Amazon driver sees all the tip, I bet it's either deducted or partially deducted, and it'll almost certainly be taxed.

That's my point. I don't like tipping unless they deserve it. Sure the super fast delivery is really nice and the drivers don't get to see who leaves tips. They aren't allowed to accept tips as cash at the door though.

I hated that too, I left a low review on amazon's site about the Prime Now service and suggested to remove tipping or allow it to be added afterwards (also including that they should pay their drivers properly in the first place).

I got an email 10 mins after submitting the review saying it had been declined and it won't appear on the website. Bit dodgy that.

When you tip the takeaway delivery guy he knows where to come first next time you order, and again and again. E.g. you'll be at the front of his queue.

and what if someone else on his delivery run is a tipper too?. You would be a tard to alter your delivery route to get to a tipper first. It could cost time and money to prioritise your drop offs on tipping.

You mean, Amazon has the cheek to abide by the law regarding taxing income earned by the drivers that are under their employ? :o

You saying you're whiter than white?

I'm sure you pay tax every time you sell something on eBay? Do you stick it down on your tax return when a marra buys you a pint at the pub?

Of course it will be taxed if you are tipping via Amazon as like I said there will be an audit trail. Tipping someone cash in hand there is no trail or proof for the tax man.

Get over yourself.

What on earth are you on about. I think you will find many many people pay their taxes exactly as they are due.

Selling stuff on ebay is not taxable unless you are making profits.

Being gifted a pint is also not taxable. In fact, no gift is taxable whatsoever, unless it is from someone who dies within 7 years.

Your mindset is exactly why Greece's tax take is absurdly low and why developing countries find it difficult to raise tax income. Tips are very much taxable and Amazon as they love to tell us abide to the letter of law when it comes to taxes.

I tend to find people that evade taxes, love to think that everyone does it. You even like to make it seem that being "whiter than white" is somehow negative or rare. Neither is true, I suggest you keep better company if that's the impression you have from people.

What is it then? It is either a Prime premium service or it is not.

The main difference is that with Prime, you can get next day delivery free of charge. Prime Now (included with your Prime membership) has the option for delivery within 1 or 2 hours of placing your order.

Prime Now is only available through using the Prime Now app to place your order. The stock also has to be already at your local depot. So you will always find less items on Prime Now than you would on Amazon's main website.

You can check your postcode here to see if your area is included in this fast delivery service.

I don't think tipping the barber or a delivery person a quid (in cash) from my change is going to bring down the country.

Like I said, get over yourself.

The fact you have a problem with Amazon taking tax off tips is the problem. Speaks volumes about you.

Secondly tips dont add up to a few quid.

I also suggest you learn what get over yourself means. You've used it twice in a condescending manner.
