Just doing small things at the moment. Don't feel like pulling my pc apart tonight so will crack on tommorow flushing the rads and block and so on.

Fan controller sits nice and flush with the case. I used the provided screws to hold it in place and stuck the tooless clip thing back into place to cover the screws.

De dusted the board and components despite the dust filters in the arc mini the dust just gets in. Installed the socket protector just incase!

No leaks...well ok just one but it was because I didnt put the plug in the bottom of the res haha so all the coolant went straight out the bottom, doh! No damage done though as there was nothing below the res, had the gpu out and the psu was out of the case.

Mayhems pastel Ice white, Not as white as I thought, has an almost blue tinge to it but Its still very nice

ok leak tested for 4 hours and no leaks so i powered it on and ran it through some temperature testing to try and expose leaks, none were found during the hour run of prime. Max temps reached were 55c on the hottest core

All finished.

Ill get some better pictures eventually with the slr also need some case lighting as i cant see it at night now I have no led fans. but thats a later job.

Res-->Pump-->240rad front-->cpu-->240rad roof-->res

The loop order was chosen as it was the neatest to install.

Oh and before anyone asks, There isn't a compatible waterblock for the card which is why I didnt put it in the loop. Id want a full cover and not a core only.

Cracking build. Love all you component choices too. I used to have the V Gene and I was going to do a 350D build with it but I just don't have a reason for a 2nd machine.

Coming from you mate that is a really big compliment! Doesn't quite match yours in terms of looks but Im proper happy with what I have done.

Its come a long way since I first built it and I have learned loads. Went into building the pc over a year ago knowing nothing about computers and now I feel like I could easily spec and build a computer. All thanks to this forum too!

ive had a few fan controllers now and each one has had flaws.

All I want is something that looks like the Akasa, has at least 20w per channel, doesn't cost a fortune, has knobs/dials instead of touch screen, doesnt randomly ramp fans up for no obvious reason and doesnt cause other fans to change speed or make funny noises when adjusting a fan!

Anyone found anything like that?

Just a small update. Havent got round to overclocking the cpu back up yet however I have been testing the passive cooling of the loop while browsing the net and other simple tasks like word documents and playing music.

passive cooling doing these tasks results in the cpu reaching max of 37c and absolutely dead silence. muting the sound and turning the monitor off once the HDD switches off after idling for a few mins you cannot heard a thing, its like its not even on :D:D:D

That Corsair case looks awesome and that board and colour scheme look fantastic

This looks brilliant, good job!

Thanks people.

Next on the agenda is some case lighting but thats gonna happen later in the month or even a couple months as I want to see what AMD come out with and then make a new gpu purchase and get that in the loop.

New fan controller installed. Lamptron FC6. The best controller I have had.

Brushed aluminium front,
can turn the fans down to 500rpm or even switch them off,
black braided cables
No stupid whine noise from fans
No intermittent ramping of fans up
just 10w per channel but its easily enough for fans
Digital read out isn't necessary but its very nice and can be changed in colour.

and a bargin! A litle amount of light bleeding from the top but is very limited in real life, photo is taken at a bad angle. Looks slightly purple/pink but thats also because of the angle. Looking dead on its pretty white with a slight tinge of blue

also added some white concentrate and now the coolant looks much better.

Not much of an update with my pc.

Added a cheap Zalman fan controller to it to allow me to control the LED strip as it was too bright. Got a molex to fan three pin off ebay and connected it to the controller and the led strip to allow for control. Stuck the controller on the back of my case and it works great.

Small Update.

Went to the AMD event at OCUK and grabbed a 290, sadly couldn't afford a 295 this time but the 290 is still a nice card.

In two minds now if to water cool it as it is a reference board or just stay on air and sell off the rest of my water cooling stuff. Either way it has allowed me to turn up a couple more settings in games which if I'm being honest I can't notice the difference, but also despite putting out more heat it runs quieter which is probably due to the huge cooler!
Black PCB is also a plus even if the cooler is yellow :p
