Changing from AMD to Intel

I am considering changing my AMD processor and MB to an Intel driven system.

If I do this will my computer boot up as usual or will I have to reinstall everything,:confused:

It will probably boot up as usual. You might want to remove the chipset drivers before you perform the switch.
 
I'd suggest doing a reinstall with a different chipset as you may get some stability issues, such as BSODs, however if you uninstall the chipset drivers as KIA has suggested above you might be ok.
 
Thanks for the replies, one more question, how do I remove the drivers. I can'y find anything in devices, and search brings up nothing (Start search programs and Files)

You might have to remove individual devices from Device Manager if you don't see anything listed.
 
Don't forget to remove the other devices from Device Manager as well such as LAN, sound, USB controllers etc. Tick the option 'remove driver file' (or something like that) too.
 
Right click all your cpu and motherboard resources in device manager and select uninstall.
I usually right click the acpi x64 based computer, uninstall that and then turn off and install the new mobo, but I haven't done that with a swap from AMD to Intel, only new Intel machines.
