Changing the bulb in an e36 328i's OBC

Is it particularly difficult?

Mine seems to have packed up (half the display is dark but still readable) my Google skills seems to have failed me, anybody got any previous on this?

remove tray undernearth, push tabs up under the obc, obc slides out, bulbs in top iirc.

Not difficult at all.

Feel in the cubby hole under the OBC for a hole that allows you to get a finger behind the OBC and push it out.

Bulbs are then twist out, 3 of them on the top of the unit.

I had to get my bulbs from BMW (strange fitment), they cost peanuts though.

That saves me a wasted trip tomorrow and gives me an excuse to go test drive something if I can blag it!

Heh yeah - certainly with mine (manual controls), it was dealer only as the bulbs come in their own holder. Either way, should be cheap from a dealer.

Ahh! true to form, sourced some bulbs, pulled the thing out and now on its re-assembly, it won't work at all.
