don't bother rolling a champ or huntard - we got nerfed like **** yesterday

RK or Mins is your best bet for some fun times now until we get a rebalance.

I think the last patch was the rebalance :) minstrel got good dps now... until your power runs out when youre standing there with your **** in your hand feeling very squishy. So good for solo, about the same for groups.

Fluke, i think if you go back on your burglar might have got a couple more levels as theyre correcting the xp curve retrospectively!

Heh, got an entire lev, though I don't really know why they've made it easier to go up levels (what with the catch-up xp if you'd not logged in for a while anyway).

Spring festival as well. Lol, last time I was on was the winter festival - I still have a yule tree outside my hobbit hole!

No they didnt, they got re-balanced ...

the Hunter was totally overpowered, with MoM our DPS went up far far too much so obviously it had to change.. no more easymode

the Champion also got a massive increase in DPS and survivability with MoM meaning groups no longer needed a Guardian(tank) so again they had to change the class ...

as for Rune Keepers expect to see them get a re-balance in the next update :D

so far so good!

Tempted to give this a go, been looking for a decent MMO since quitting WoW an aeon ago.

*sorry for megabump, replied to wrong thread. go me.

Bk 7 hits the game today, yet another massive free content update .. the notes are too extensive to put in the post...

Personally I thought bk 7 update was a joke, the whole new area, theres just nothing there. massive grind for rep with really really pathetic quests, one area with actual enemies in, lots of killing animals and collection crap, all so you can finally get into the city so you can start trying to get first age weapons from drop boxes in the end. thats literally the only thing in there, then the boxes themselves are a complete joke, the one and only time I bothered I got a tier 4 rune, for DAYS of grinding.

They are "fixing" the boxes by making the cost around 2/3, removing the chance of low ixp/relics, but removing first age weapons also, moving from lvl 60 second age to lvl 58-60 second age.

Personally I think they could have done far more with the update than create a grindy, newb-fest area with not a single interesting quest all so people have a low chance to get a decent weapon that has an incredibly low chance to have decent legacies on. I've yet to bump into a hunter with a first or second age with as good legacies as I have on my 3rd age or many other hunters have on their 3rd age. I've had a single 2nd age drop since Moria's release, i'm using it to grind ixp and will decon it at max level, but its an utter crap bow.

Still you have first ages going for 100g on the AH, still very few people have them, and theres really little reason to be doing anything endgame.

Radiance gear is rather pointless grind, so is grinding the crafting instances for gold leaves.

Other than that, fine, tweaks here and there, whole game made easier, again.

I ran a RK through to lvl 56/57 in a few weeks, far to easy, very nice to play class but ridiculous survivability, solo-ability, healing, dps.

Just getting more and more wound up with how easy the game is getting.

I'm just irritated that it started off soo soo well, and the expansion was a brilliant design, just ridiculously easy.

One of the only good changes I've seen with book 8 is the move away from a 'coin' system for the radiance armour pieces found in the 3 new instances, instead we get a token system where the entire fellowship will at least get some reward for every single run they take part in (the whole 1 gets coin, 5 nothing system at the moment is awful).

Being able to barter for 1st ages is also great as everyone can finally home in on the specific items they are after. I know that if I ever get enough tokens I'll be trading straight for a 1st age warden's axe, something which would pretty much never drop with the current mechanics.

The dumbing down of the earlier content isn't something I'm overly happy with though and this move towards the whole radiance system of 'gear-gating' is certainly quite depressing. I'm coping with it at the moment as the instances like Fil Gashan and Skumfil are quite enjoyable to quest around in, I just hope they can maintain their creativity and not turn the game into a soulless grind-fest in the future.
