Cheap dinner ideas

for the fruit, get some cheap plain yogurt and cut up the fruit into small pieces and toss with the yogurt. nice and easy dessert.

Oh and if you read OP's post you would see he had an unexpected outgoing this month. Happens to us all.
 
tin of meatballs with the pasta
tin of chile with the rice
packet of cous cous with the chicken
pack of mixed veg with the pork chops
plus baking potatos and beans and bread and milk and cereal

you'll probably survive..
 
The food you have already bought alongside rice and/or pasta should keep you going. Maybe some value bread and milk too and you'll be okay.

It's hard to budget for the unexpected. ;)

OT: 4 days in and I have plenty of food left, so it's not looking like the crisis that I originally thought it would be. Thanks for all of your suggestions and advice guys and girls.
