Cheap SSDs ????? are these any good?

I can't find any reviews for them and their website spec sheet doesn't list the controller or who makes the flash memory for it. I'd be weary personally. If you need a cheaper end SSD then the Sandisks are worth looking at.

perhaps ok for steam games etc, and use a decent brand for OS. games can always be downloaded again

Bah wish I knew of these, I know they make good ram and stuff, but my 30gb transcend cost me £20 and it was used obviously lol, £30 for 120gb brand new sounds like a bargain and good deal, if only I had the money right now ha.

You could just buy one, test it and send it back if you don’t like it? Kingston are not exactly a big brand to look at for ssd drives either really, but very popular sales, so teamgroup could go the same way

that's good too. actually probably better value as its bigger.. ah well, i bought mine will give it a try

well i have one installed with a couple of steam games, cant really comment apart from its working, case appears to be metal unlike sandisk

If I needed an SSD I'd definitely take a punt on one of these. I do daily OS backups regardless so if it dies it's no major loss.

the max IOPS specs are noticeably lower than other mainstream drives. on paper at least... whether it makes any actual real difference though?
