What games do you play?
You need to upgrade both really, but if you overclocked the CPU then it would be sufficient until you could afford something better that your board supports (like a 3600 or 5600).
The 3050 doesn't really make sense at the £300 odd prices I've seen, because the 6600 and 3060 have come down a lot and they're significantly faster.
Your motherboard does support 5000 series cpu with a bios update but gpu would be the biggest upgrade. Rx 6600 can be had for £300 which would be a monster upgrade then sell your 1050 to fund a new cpu , do you have a budget in mind ?A bit of everything, Anno1800, FS2, Factorio mostly just now, according to the son Roblox struggles the most.
Do I need a new MB?
I did install the 3600, was playing up before that though
Did you update the motherboard bios before installing the 3600 ?I did install the 3600, was playing up before that though
No, I've put the original couple back in, the 6600 still not working though, power to it, fans not kicking in though, son is going to kill me in the morning!!Did you update the motherboard bios before installing the 3600 ?
No, I've put the original couple back in, the 6600 still not working though, power to it, fans not kicking in though, son is going to kill me in the morning!!
Is the original cpu and gpu working ?No, I've put the original couple back in, the 6600 still not working though, power to it, fans not kicking in though, son is going to kill me in the morning!!
Is that with the 3600 and 6600 ?Aye, back up and running apart from the fans not working on the gpu, they did come on for a short period on start up
No, the 1400 cpu back in, not sure if I want to risk updating the BIOS!Is that with the 3600 and 6600 ?
I would there's a big performance gain going to a 3600.No, the 1400 cpu back in, not sure if I want to risk updating the BIOS!
