Hi guys, I have a basic family desktop that is playing up because of a dying 8600GS (I know right)
Anyway I have a 1yr old mobo, new RAM etc, so I'm just putting the cheapest graphics card possible that will be 'worth having'.
My question is, on the OCUK website the cheapest one is 8400GS which will be monumentally worse than my 8600. However I'm not playing games on that system or anything I just want it to use as an everyday PC. So is it worth shelling out an extra £10 on the 810MHz GT 610? Or get the HIS 5450.
I'd use on board graphics if I had them but the cheap new board I bought doesn't have it. Is it just swings and roundabouts with a cheap GPU? Or is there something about any of those 3 that I should know. Specs are Intel C2D 2.2Ghz, 2GB DDR3, Windows 7.
Thanks!
