Cheapest way to access Netflix on TV

It's the same view with using iPads/tablets as a home cinema controller. Folk love the idea of yet another use for their precious tablet. What is often forgotten is that the phone or tablet is a communication device for their social media too. In some cases you have calls/texts/emails nagging away as well. There's a constant sense of distraction with these, so it's a bit of a double-edged sword.

I'm not on any social media myself so I don't really get that nag. I understand others may of course.

Chromecast is so simple. When you cast something, everybody with a compatible device gets a notification with media controls. you can browse netflix on your devices without interrupting the TV, for example. if you're using youtube then you can queue videos from a number of difference devices at the same time. It's just really convenient.

If you find that aps become unresponsive, it's normally because of your devices power saving features. excluding the app is normally enough to stop that happening. We love it, we have a number of chrome casts now. Also have a firestick, which only gets used for amazon prime. I f i could cast prime, i'd throw the firestick in the bin tbh.

I just bought a Roku 2 for use with plex, but also does everything else too including netflix. Very nice little boxes with good proper remotes. They are about £20 on ebay.
