How high can you go?

I can hear 18k easily, I can 'sense' 19k as a vague irritation.
20k is aurally invisible to me though, as expected.

I'm quite pleased with that, being 30 and having been in bands for half that time

Dissapears quickly after 17k. I can mostly hear an undertone with the 18k but can just sort of percieve it if on very high. My proper hearing ends just after 17k i'd say, i'm only 19 too

Oh yeah, I can hear the mosquito thing on the first clip though.

Don't panic if you get a low score BTW - it could be that your speakers don't go that high (although most will reach 15k)!

Anything past 21,000 and I can't hear it. And i am 34.

16,000 but I don't think my speakers are working past 18,000 as my 6yr old can't hear past that

Upto 16 for me, but what is weird is I can also hear 20 but not 17/18/19

Your just hearing an undertone for the 20k, its an artifact of digital playback. Real hearing tests use analogue systems since they can produce totally harmonic free sine waves

Agreed what you're hearing are resonant sounds - I mean I heard 23K, 25K (couldnt hear 24K hardware must have damped it out) and the 2 sound files.

23K ? That just cant be possible.

I'm guessing it's either what Dr EM said, or because the drivers in the speakers are moving, they are setting up some resonance at a lower frequency that you can hear.

Either that or Sound City has been invaded by super mutants from the future - ruuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnn!
