Chelsea and Ballack

Gudjohnsen should move on, somewhere where he'll be getting football every week. An absolute quality player.. even though I am an Arsenal fan I've always admired him. A really underrated player.

My chelsea starting lineup

Cech

Gallas - Terry - Carvalho - Del Horno

Makalele

(Robben or Duff) - Lampard - Ballack - Cole

Drogba

Bench:

Cudicini
Gudjohnson
(Robben or Duff)
Crespo
Maniche
Diarra
SWP
Geremi

The rest would be sold.

Ferreira at RB & Gallas at CB would be a better option I reckon (although I can't see Gallas staying next year), I'd also prefer Bridge ahead of del Horno, I think he might get a few games next season if we don't get Cole & Gallas goes.
If Ballack & Lamps were to play together we migh not need another striker if we play with 1up:/

I can't remember the records they hold but Gallas & Terry as a partnership have some phenomenal stats.
It's hard to tell what sort of form Bridge is in as he's had so little football but I'd prefer an on form (and fit) Bridge to what I've seen of del Horno so far:)
I know, you've never been impressed with Essien but I think he does what's wanted of him, although as I mentioned in another thread he has been playing averagely at best since his 'stamping' incidents.

Maniche is only at Chelsea on loan, he might not be there next season.
I can see Drogba leaving, Lyon are aparentely interested.
& I'd be willing to bet that Chelsea new main striker would become Adriano.

Personally I'd like to see one of Geremi/Makelele shipped out, and I think Mourinho and Robben don't see eye-to-eye on everything so there's a possibility he could be moving on.

As for the rest, they are good players and Chelsea can afford their wages, so why not keep hold of them?

Oh dear, I hope not. Carvalho is terrible, he isn't even much better than Bramble so there would be no point buying him.

carvolho is certainly not terrible...

its only because gallas is so immense he isnt 1st choice.

carvalho is still a top rate defender

Well not terrible, but I don't think there is much point in Newcastle buying him. Steven Taylor is a better centre back and Carvalho isn't much better then Bramble. Newcastle need someone with the talent of Woodgate to partner Taylor next season.

like who.. woodgate.. when he is out injured again for madrid.

if we got woodgate on a free fair enough, but wed have to pay around 6-8m for him and it would be hit or miss whether he lasted a season without being out for a few month.

carvalho would be a good buy

BBC are reporting that Chelsea will be operating a "3-in, 3-out" policy in the close season. My feelings are that this will mean:

OUT:
Maniche
Johnson
C.Cole

IN:
Ballack
RB
Striker

Makelele has been one of the stars imo, super consistent and an undervalued member of the team.
I agree with that. Look at Madrid. People thought he was un-needed there, look how they have collapsed since his sale.

Im thinking

pretty much agree with your list. not sure on the defender though. i think theres more chance of alex joining than kompany, but we'll see :)

maniche is on loan till the end of the season btw, so he would be going anyway, unless mourinho makes the deal permanent (which i doubt).

None of them will be sold with the exception of drogba. What's the point, they’d get peanuts for them and they don't need the money. They'll probably be loaned out with a clause saying they can't play against Chelsea. I can't see why they’re buying midfielder ether, they desperately need a striker.

Drogba and SWP are two of the players who will NOT be leaving.
