Chelsea have a new manager

Lots of deadwood need shifting at Chelsea .. going to be expensive and require probably controversial decisions.
Replacing now or within a season or two (for one reason or another):
Terry, Lampard, Ferreira, Hillario, A.Cole, Benayoun, Malouda, Anelka, Drogba ..

Ouch.

I'm sorry, but what?

Did you just say that Lampard was out best midfielder last season and that Ramires was dead weight? Were you watching the same Chelsea team I was? Lampard was absolutely awful last season, as was Essien. They gave the ball away more than anyone else in the team, looked unfit for most of the season and just didn't seem motivated. Essien has not been the same player since he came back from his injury.

As for Ramires; I'd go as far to say that for the second half of last season he was probably our best player!

As for Torres; he just needs service. Chelsea have relied on Drogba creating his own chances for far too long. Our midfield lacks creativity and the team lacks any kind of width. If Torres gets the service, he'll start scoring again.

Our main priority this transfer window should be a playmaker and either two natural wingers or someone like Neymar who can -- along with Sturridge -- play wide of Torres and cut inside. Anelka and Kalou can go and Drogs will have to reside himself to being an impact player next season.

AVB will sort the team out no doubt =).

he's only 33, massive step. a lot of the chelsea players are still there from his time with mourinho. interestingly, he never played at a professional level. he took his coaching badges at 17 in scotland (he lied about his age) and was mentored by robson. his niche was his tactical observations using the latest technology as an opponent analyser. he'd create dvd's of footage of mourinho's upcoming opposition with reports on players strengths and weaknesses. i wish him moderate success because i respect how he has climbed to where he is.
