Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger

Of that entire top 40, I like the 2 Adele songs, Bruno Mars, and LMFAO (just because I like it's music video). The rest do absolutely ZERO for me, with Swagger Jagger, Right There and Give Me Everything making me rage.

I need to mix some trance tonight!

My mate told me the other day how funny it is that you don't see white dog poo anymore. Clearly he hasn't watched the Swagger Jagger video :D

Just unwiring a metal coat hanger to force into my ear to see if I can get it to come out the other side. preferrable to litening to this Fully star out please.

How do the charts work now?

do songs get to number one after so many purchases of a song?

I thought i read something that songs only need a very low sale and they still get to top spot?

Im sure this will drop down the charts next week!

Either that or UK needs to teach their daughters real music

The success of rubbish like Take That, N-SYNC, Westlife, Boyzone, JLS - anything linked to X-Factor, Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh is testament that the UK's daughters will NEVER buy 'proper' music*.

*'Proper' music = music written by the performing artist, who is someone who isn't told what to wear by a team of people.

It's not just young kids buying this nonense, I know of several grown men in their 20's and 30's who have bought it, one of them justified it was "she's marmite mate, love her or hate her"...never wanted to punch a mate so much in the face ever!!!

The weird thing as well with this is she was in the radio one studio, when they announced the number, and that was scheduled a few days before.

Not really, they are pretty good at predicting the number one.

They do a midweek top40 on Wednesday as well so it might have been that.

I think it was either tuesday or wednsday they were saying she would be in on sunday. It is quite easy to predict that early but not always guaranteed, and there would be egg on face if she was in on sunday and not number one.

Its a conspiwacy I tell thee.

As I stated earlier, if a big record label want their artist to get to No.1...it will almost certainly happen.

There are times when things don't quite go according to plan (I remember famously when Victoria Beckham went up against Sophie Ellis Bextor/Groovejet (who at the time was an unknown) and VB came 2nd...that basically ended her solo career).
