In April 1986, an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics becomes one of the world's worst man-made catastrophes.

Watched the 1st EP, quite interesting, not sure how much truth there is in what was said and what happened in the control room

without spoilers, can i get a synopsis?

Gives you a insight and first hand perspective of how it unfolds from the various characters involved which lead to the disaster. Also highlights the dangers and consequences to the people, environment and catastrophic issues in the aftermath. Grim stuff but very intriguing. Definitely recommend watching it. You are literally thrown in the deep in the first 5 mins of the episode 1. Like most TV series it will take you a little while to familiarise who is who and their names. Dont worry it will recap over and over again so should pick up whats happening and with who and their involvement.

It also covers what happened, how and why it was able to happen, even delving into the science behind it and breaking it down pretty well for non-boffin audiences... but also follows an investigative narrative, mirroring the screenwriter's own path of curiosity, and the final 'reveal' (for want of a better term) is so very well done in the last episode.
