Chernobyl's silent graveyards

The scary thing is....

The big shed thing they built over the reactor core os rusting and the roof is getting small holes in it and water is getting inside making the nuclear liquide molten stuff even more sludgey and there could be the possiblity of the who shed/capsul that holds it all in could colapse and brake apart and spreading the nuclear stuff inside it over the country side :(

They estimate if it does go, it will only go as wide as the 30km radius they have set up for it. but many scientists say it could be much much worse then that.

They need 70billion dollars to build a new concreate shed for it :(
That device is called the sarcophagus by the way. That name has fascinated me since I first heard it and I'm not entirely sure why. The whole incident is almost surreal.

There are still areas of the UK where the cattle are forbidden to be used in the food chain, mainly in the south west uplands of Scotland, Lake District and Wales. The clouds coming across from the Ukraine picked up radioactive material and dumped it via the rain on to the hillside. Sheep in these areas can't graze then enter the food chain due to the risk.
