Chicken Tikka

I'm sure it tastes fine, but the recipe looks like a case of chucking anything remotely indian into a marinade.

For a simple chicken tikka marinade I just go for:

6 thighs/thigh fillets (or 4 breast fillets)

3 tbsp greek yoghurt
1 tbsp ginger puree
1 tbsp garlic puree
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground fenugreek
1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
Juice of 1 lime
½ tsp salt

- A couple of hours marinading is fine. Domestic chickens are already bred to be tender so if you overdo it then they'll come out mushy, especially breast

- Best cooked under a grill on max heat, on a rack so they are out of any liquid that comes out
