Chickpea chips?

Although the method is different, it seems very similar to socca, a chickpea flour flat bread. I make them quite often due to ease of making and the fact the are delicious :) May try this too.

It looks pretty similar to doing polenta chips. I imagine chickpea flour will work just as well.

I just bake chickpeas with spices and they come out alright... kind of like wasabi peas (but without the wasabi and whatever spices you want)

I've made blondies before using chickpeas and powdered and/or regular PB plus Reeses chips

Chickpea flower is commonly used in indian cooking, that is what is used to make things pike pakoras and bhajis. It also makes various indian breads.

I've had good success with plantain chips, you definitely need them to be the right ripeness. You don't get something that resembles a potato chip but it is very tasty.

Yup, I'm aware of it being used for breads and pastries but I hadn't really seen chips (or faux-chips at least) made this way before. I'll have to try out this and the other alternatives mentioned.

BennyC, those look amazing. What're the macros like? And more importantly, the taste :p

Taste was 'notbadjeff' nothing nutbutter couldn't cure. Whole batch (16, 1.5" square and bout an 1" thick) was 972 cals, 23f, 138c, 54p.

Using full-fat PB rather than powdered would increase that considerably.

By the way that is a great site as a vege, so thanks for sharing!

I am 100% going to try the chick pea chips, they look incredible, and i cant actually imagine how they taste! The only time i ever do anything with chickpeas is when I make Humous so ye, thanks!
