Chinese Grand Prix 2011, Shanghai International Circuit - Race 3/19

How does two person translate to majority, also nearly everything one says is due to tyres and double diffuser not DRS.

It wouldn't cost anymore than it does now, teams spend every penny they have, no reg change will result in more money being spent" however some rule changes would almost certainly bring more money into the sport.

My feeling is that the purists like the old style, processional racing, while the newer/casual viewers seem to like the new-style non-processional racing we are now seeing in 2011.
.

You keep saying that, but it just isn't true. But then again why am I surprised.

Because that's where the. Money comes from and always had until the last ~15 years, loads of f1 inventions have been incorporated into cars. The money is in alternative fuel, "green" technology and is. The future.
Oh and electric is also where power and speed is and can vastly out perform petrol.

The last two, there has been many though throughout f1 and lots of new ideas and technology created onto of that which hasn't gone into road cars.

As for the last paragraph I don't understand what your saying?

Wasn't on about the ev car, electric is faster and more powerful, all the torque from 0rpm and much higher rpms, make no mistake electric is the future for the fastest race series.

Sliding cams, variable timing, independent suspension, crushable structures for accidents,

Sod it here's a link with the work done, many invented by the sport and many more invented outside the sport, but f1 was used as the test bed and pushed it into road cars.

But where mastered in f1 and used as testbed.

There's two categories
1) invented by f1
2) f1 used as a cheap and harsh test environment and later used in cars.

Plenty in both. Read the article and that doesn't even cover all of it.

You will and have.

Where do you think things like vtec come from. And other jazzy engine stuff, found in lots of modern engines. Where do you think brimstone tried lots of tyre technology first? Where do you think crumple zones came from.

Same as kers if they derestricted kers, it wouldn't of been invented f1 but it would be used as the test bed for new and improved kers and would bring in loads of money for ;0f1 and what is learnt would be filtered down to road cars.

Extreme angles give much more downforce and so speed through corners, on qualifying you can use DRS when you won't and so can negate much of that drag when needed on the lap. However this. Then compromises you in the race as you can't use DRS and so have that extra drag all the time.

So you either go for qauli pace or you go for race pace. Or a medium.

so with this wing thing, just how much faster are RB then?

is their speed advantage not as great as it first seemed?

Who knows. They seem to compromise race pace, to get extra qaulifying pace, they are still faster, which is why I don't understand. They don't need to do it.

The only reason I can think of, is if they have so much front out down force they that at the rear for balance.
