Chinese Grand Prix 2015, Shanghai - Race 3/19

Renault really don't have the experience or knowledge for these engines do they? They don't produce high performance road car engines as Ferrari and AMG do and I don't believe they produce any hybrids either.

Yes/no, ultimately as above Ferrari blew an extra 100mil on this years car compared to last(aero and engine) and poached the ERS guy from Mercedes... so Ferrari didn't have the experience either. It's also likely that Merc went out and found the right ERS guy in the first place, wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't at Merc till they started developing the new engines.

The difference is that Renault don't have the budget to just go and blow more money and bring in the top guys when other teams are offering more money to the same experts. They have brought in expert advice, maybe the guy isn't as good as the Merc guy, maybe he's better, who knows.

Vettel coming in, lets hope this spices things up... a little.

Haha, as I said, Hamilton just helps destroy tires of both cars behind, causes them to pits, saves tires then he just runs out and bangs out massively faster laps to pull out a safety net. doesn't matter if Rosberg pits first, he's MUCH faster than Rosberg, much much faster.

EDIT:- Hamilton has so badly controlled Rosberg in the past year it's hilarious, there is no comparison at all. I said all last year Hamilton gains whenever he wants on Rosberg, Hamilton just holds Rosberg in dirty air... except this year there is a car close enough behind the Mercs that Hamilton can also push Rosberg into Vettel.

lol, Merc making a big statement there, though, Brundle wrong again, undercut... hamilton is saving his tires exceptionally well and has another probably at least half a second a lap in his pocket. If Rosberg was pitted early Hamilton would do 2-4 more laps at an amazing pace most likely, then pit with fresher tires. I could see him coming out ahead and even if he didn't, he'd be faster and with a shorter stint to run, I'd be surprised if he didn't take him easily in all honesty.

Haha, think you pretty much nailed that :)

It's not just Renault. rb are know to pack the power unit to tight and the heat coming from the brakes
then going to the power unit won't help one bit.

If Hamilton has caused Kimi to be able to leapfrog both his closest championship rivals... it would be a very epic drive. Maldonado finally doing something expected of him.

EDIT:- they haven't seemingly noticed the gap between Ham and Rosberg/Vettel yet.

That was hilarious. Rosberg is cementing himself as a clear no 2. in the team this year. Hamilton oozes supreme confidence, rosberg looks beaten already tbh.
