Chinese Grand Prix 2015, Shanghai - Race 3/19

Don't they both have contracts to be in the Mercedes in 2016? Nico jumping ship early would require effort on his part... Would he be able to do that without someone in his ear telling him what to do? :p

Hamilton contract up this season though working out the last few points on a new one. It wouldn't surprise me if he delayed the reading through and adding stupid new lines that need to be checked again and again for a few races just to check Merc were still looking dominant. You might after two races have not wanted to instantly commit yourself to Merc for a few more years if Ferrari were just about to start a dominant period and your own contract was up at the end of the year... as is Kimi's I believe ;)

Realistically it's just stupid long contracts and little changes get made over one point, or a point added and the whole thing needs to be read again... lest he get stuck with a line he missed saying Merc will be allowed to suspend him from a cable and lower him on to a stage for a PR event... as he had to do at Mclaren.

Rosberg signed last year to extend by 2+ years. Sounds like he's there till end of next year with an option for more.

Rumours were around that Ferrari were considering Hamilton if Kimi quits.

I wouldn't be surprised If he waits at least a few more races as Allison said ferrari have updates coming in Bahrain and big updates in Barcelona. If the gap is closer by then....who knows.

Let's be honest though, merc could get away with letting them race last season. In order to not compromise their constructors position I think they'll cement hammy as no 1.

After the tension between Lewis and Nico last season and then the subsequent kiss and make up, the credulous might have thought all was well. However, Nico has already pulled out his six shooter and kicked the whole thing off again. I love a bit of drama.

Boring race for the most part, but good result for Lewis. Bahrain will be another sleep inducing race no doubt, so roll on Europe.

The way it's looking at the moment there won't be any racing. Hamilton has broken Rosberg and if I were Paddy Lowe I'd be looking at a replacement for next season.

Oh dear I think Nico needs to cool down a little :D

To be fair he's relatively calm there(unless he's changed the video since you saw it or something) and explained it fairly well though I think a professional sports person of any kind needs to refrain from 'internet' style exaggeration. Driving closer to the guy in front doesn't destroy your tires in a couple of laps, it does hurt them but come on. Hamilton went faster at the end of the first stint, sure, why not, but he pitted before Rosberg on the first stint didn't he, not exactly massive.

He slowed his pace to Rosberg, if Rosberg refuses to go faster how is Hamilton supposed to know Rosberg wants to go faster, magic? I'm actually fine with the radio message, he just said Hamilton was too slow, fine. It's the post race nonsense that is ridiculous precisely because of the radio message. He said Hamilton was too slow, Hamilton got told to speed up a bit to help out Rosberg.... Hamilton sped up to exactly what the team told him to do. If Rosberg wanted Hamilton to speed up sooner then short of flashing his lights at Hamilton... speeding up would have sped Hamilton up.

It wouldn't have destroyed anything, at the closest he was 2.5seconds away, well outside if dirty air. He could have more than halved that and not damaged his tyres.

Last year, ham was moaning. This year it's Ros. Who ever it is it's darn annoying.
But at least Ham has far more talent.

I think it's a pretty hard thing to balance for hamilton. Ultimately he needs to look after number one by preserving his own position whilst also looking out for the teams interest. It's all a bit of handbags tbh and is funny to watch nico have a mini-meltdown over.

Hamilton is loving it and you can tell. Hell I think seb is even enjoying it lol.
