Chinese Grand Prix 2016, Shanghai - Race 3/21

Whoops :D

That's one way to make sure you get into the top 10 by Hulkenberg

Mclaren seem to be complaining about their chances of getting into Q3 being ruined because they went out on used tires for the first run and thus would have gained loads of times on the red flag ruined laps. They were 1.5 seconds down on Massa... 1.5. 95% of Q3, when the cars are absolutely maxed out, they do a used run then a fresh set and gain anything from 3-7/10th's depending on the track. Never once in years have I seen drivers with clean laps gain over 1.5 seconds from fresher tires.

Alonso was about 1.5 seconds down, Button was just over 1.7 seconds down on Massa. So fed up with them making excuses all the time, hyping up(along with Sky) the chances of them getting into Q3. According to them the red flag ruined their chances, not Button being 1.7 seconds slower on maybe half a second slower tires.

On top of that their time is currently just about 3 seconds off Kimi's provisional pole.

Once again all the build up was claiming that Ferrari would have the upper hand and that Mercedes were beaten, and then again they stick it on pole by a massive margin.

When will they learn.

Great drive by Ric!

Think you should watch the laps, both drivers made mistakes, rosberg may have been on pole but by a much smaller margin.

Ifs. Buts. Maybes.

Mercedes are on pole by over half a second.

You are joking right? Did you not watch Kimi's lap, that last hairpin was horrific...he didn't improve from his first run for a reason wheras ric and rosberg both improved massively.

I know that.

My point is all the media has been hyping this up as a weekend when Ferrari will dominate Mercedes, but when it comes down to the crunch, yet again Mercedes are in front, and on a tyre strategy that should be an easy win.

We shouldnt keep getting our hopes up :(
