So i went to a Chipy last night,

a new one suggested by a friend to be pretty good.

Got served and saw a sign saying

"If you want to choose your fish, a charge of 30p will be made."

I just though WTF, has anyone else encountered this?

I may be being really thick, but is this not trying to stop people pointing to the larger fillets and saying "I'll have that one".
It's not saying you get charged for specifying cod or haddock etc.....

I don't think it's choice of fish species it's choosing the fish that's currently cooked and sat in the heater. Obviously people always choose the bigger, better looking ones.

sounds like it but still ridiculous most people wont care which fish they get.... only a few will try to choose one
