Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - Fps/hand to hand combat sim ( INDIE )

It is released on the 16th October and will be on Steam but from what i have seen it won't be on Steam page/purchase wise before release. If you order from their webpage you get a key which registers on Steam, so either way it'll be on there come release.

How much? Pre-order discount?

Yup likewise, although i've heard that you can do both 1st and 3rd in Chivalry which is good.

Indeed you can do both - if the server allows it. It's allowed by default but i'm going to stick to 1st person. Mainly because I enjoy that the most but also I feel that competitive servers are going to have 3rd person disabled.

Hmmm some iffy play throughs, the trailer makes it look so much better... But from what the gameplay shows on youtube it doesn't look like a good pre-order situation. Others playing it are not as impressed.

:(

Can't afford to buy it till it comes out anyway and with NO steam pre-orders i don't understand it

I just prefer doing it through steam both ways

Besides that they would get far more pre-orders

Yeah it's strange they haven't done that. A dev said steam for one reason or another couldn't have it as preload but then they also said they get a far higher cut of the money by ordering it directly through them so I think that's the reason why really. I still think they would have sold far more 'upfront' by having it as a preorder through steam though as you said.

It's like £15.50 after conversion from $ via their website.

If you buy a 4pack though it works out to around £12 each or something like that. Which is what a mate of mine did and i got a copy from him.

Looks good just wondering if I should bother to pick it up on my current system, wouldn't want to play with anything less than 60 fps in this kind of game myself, will I be able to run it at 60 fps with this?

Windows 7 (32 bit)
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H
Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 896MB
XFX EasyRail Pro 550W
4GB DDR 3 RAM

Will just wait til I get a new pc if not :p

would have thought so, don't think it's that taxing the system requirements are pretty low.

Can't wait for this, probably won't be on tonight (maybe very late) because of my slow download speed :(

Well, I'm gonna play it at 1440p on a 2500k @4.5ghz and an overclocked 5850 so you'll be getting similar or better results if you're on a 1080p screen.

Lemme know how it is compared to War of the Roses. Loving the carnage, but gameplay footage on YouTube hasn't been particularly impressive so I'm holding off.

Oh yeah, should've mentioned my resolution as that's probably what is the most taxing if anything would be, I play in 1920x1200 resolution
