Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - Fps/hand to hand combat sim ( INDIE )

Is there any map based strategy in this game? Comes across as a bit like Mount and Blade but without the map elements.

I like a mix so I'm hoping there is!

That does look great, shame I've only heard about it now!

Capture Points, Defend Points, Kill the king, Push the plague into a village, stop the burning of the village, pillage the village... lots!

wow it's amazing. never experienced this kind of up close and personal PVP rivalry before. Makes for some pretty intense duels. Will jump on mumble for a proper game with you chaps tomorrow night!

Absolutely loving this currently, had some amazing duels already. I had one against two other people and managed to cut one of their heads of and chop the others arm off as he decapitated me.

I'M REALLY ANNOYED :mad::mad:, Msi afterburner didn't record one single bit of audio it was working fine all week the instant i do a good video of about 2hrs in parts.. With amazing atmosphere and fun gameplay, the audio stopped recording.

Thanks msi

No sounds of the screams, the destruction, men fighting, swords clanging, amazing music

- V1bez why didn't you join us on mumble earlier?, we did say we were going to be on there.. only us two appeared

Wow, what a visceral atmospheric game! At first, the combat system seems primitive, but once you do the training and see how the mechanics work, you'll see potential for some great duels. All in all, running into battle screaming, with gurgling victims' heads flying off and limbs coming off about you, it is just great craic. It's just FUN. WotR still has a place for more technical in-depth gameplay that challenges me, and I wish I could combine that with the sound, atmosphere, and gameplay objectives of this, but I think they both have their place. I think I'll reach for this when I want all-out mayhem, and WotR when I want to spend a whole evening playing a game that I won't get fatigue from :p

Great looking game too. Runs maxed out on my rig around 40fps, which is fine for this tbh (feels smoother than 40fps, no big dips), so I probably won't even bother turning anything down.

As an aside, looking through the keybindings, I'm dying to know what F10 "party party!" does? And I'm guessing Z "voice overlay" alows you to add your own battlecry to the bedlam?

What do you like more? Fast, limbs flying everywhere fighting or slower paced more tactical and no limbs everywhere? If it's the fast option then this, if slower then War of the Roses.

Do you like more atmosphere?, do you want to hear screams and the gurggles of someone choking on their own blood, get Chiv
