Chocolate Digestive Biscuits, Which Side Up?

As far back as the Treaty of Westphalia (1648), international convention has held that the choclatey side must face north.

Anything other can legitimately be interpreted as a direct threat to the sovereign nation-state, and thus an act of war.

No biscuits in the house, the next time I encounter a choclate digestive, I am going to eat it chocolate side down. Never in my life would I have ever considered this an option previously, so it'll be rather interesting to try it.
It just seems wacko to attempt such a thing.

Sod it, I'm going to email McVitie's and see what they say then we will have a definitive answer.

Careful - you don't want to rile them.

In case you aren’t aware “McVitie’s Biscuits” is really an anagram of “Victimise Cubists”. The company was formed as part of the angry reaction to Pablo Picasso’s work “Still life with a packet of digestives” which caused consternation by showing the same subject from multiple views, exposing both the chocolate and non chocolate sides at the same time. These was a step too far for Edwardian England and not only lead to the formation of Victimise Cubists, but also killed off Pablo’s career in advertising and he went back to France in disgrace.

Jaffa?

I will always comment if I see a friend or family member eating their snacks upside down such as chocolate digestives, jaffa cakes, mars bars, kit kats and twixes etc.
I also don't understand why some people open a crisp packet from the bottom.
A friend of mine eats his buttered toast butter side down.

Despite what wiki says, Jaffa Cakes are cakes. The clue is in the title. They start out soft when fresh and go hard when stale. I stand by my noble promulgation and if you dare to disagree with me sir I shall challenge you to a duel !!!! Where you will be defeated. ;)

It actually goes a lot further than that.

It was decided in court (Jaffa cakes vs HMRC) that they are cakes, not biscuits. :p

For eating or placing on a table? who places biscuits down rather than eating them.

As for eating i would be choc side down... not that i'd give the slightest **** what anyone else does.

Chocolate taste good, i want that on my tongue without eating an entire chocolate bar.

Why spoil other peoples enjoyment. Because you have to be right?
