Chocolate

i wonder how good the quality some of the chocolate that these posh places are selling really is? I can't eat Hershey or the cadbury's over here now because it tastes too gritty and chalky.

While we're on the subject, anyone know where/if it's possible to get some chocolate for somebody whos lactose intolerant?

Yes on the subject, I wonder why nutella doesnt make an easter egg? Just a big chocolate egg with a jar of nutella inside. I'd buy it.

Hotel Chocolate for "posh" chocolates, Lindt and Green & Black for normal, good quality chocolate.

I'd tend to go with Hotel Chocolate, or fresh chocolates from a local sweet shop though, much nicer and you get to pick what you want!

Get her a basket of Twirls. Throw them on her. Twirls > all other chocolate. I guarantee you'll be walking with a limp the next day. ;)

You really have to buy from a small independent chocolatier.

Living iN Switzerland this was quite easy, however I was pleasantly surprised having moved to the US that there are several really good local chocolatiers.

Montezumas is a but different. I actually really like their chocolate, but hotel chocolat do some more interesting products. Godiva is the only way to go if you want posh!

The problem with both Hotel and Godiva is they are very high street. That means you pay a lot for the name and the marketing. Check out some more independent offerings.
