yes barry it is. i wouldnt buy a bike from anywhere else. my last 4 bikes have been from them.
And now so is the Ducati. went back and took it for a slightly longer ride and although it crippled me its gorgous and the sound of the exhaust especially when you acclerate is amazing.

Hopefully collecting it next tuesday depending on the weather. its costing me 500 to swop and i get to keep my cans and power commander which the dealer willl remove for me and il can sell them on ebay or similar which i should get around 300 ish for i reckon so will stand me at 200 to swop for the ducati which i dont think is too bad. plus ive asked for a new back tyre and full service on the ducati which they will do for me prior to collecting.

ive only just noticed that they are different to the ones on pics ive googled. i take it they ae aftermarket ones? hmm if they are aftermarket it begs the question why?

Just make sure you test ride the 999 before any cash changes hands mate. I bought one last year. An 06 one. Looked and sounded amazing but no matter what I did i just couldn't get on with the handling. I even rode to maxton to get them to fettle with it. Gave up in the end. Sold it for a couple of hundred more than I bought it for. Then bought an R1 instead which I love to bits.

Oh. I think that's quite expensive for an 03. Could get later model with revised swing arm and fairings for that.

had a decent test ride and it handled fine and hopefully better with the new rear tyre. looking around on ebay and biketrader and so forth i dont think the price is that bad. its one of the cheapest s versions on bike trader and the only cheaper ones i found had triple the mileage.

Fair enough then. They must have gone up in value since when I bought mine last year. If you like the way they ride I'm sure you will love it. It certainly has a sense of occasion when you ride it. I've tried a few brains and can't get to grips with any of em. Shame, they sound mental.

Well its either of two reasons, one its been down the road and those mirrors are hellish expensive to replace, or two the originals are beautiful but pretty useless i.e. having to look under your elbow to see whats behind you (ducati chicken dance) and they are indeed Ducati Performance aftermarket ones so no reason you should get the original mirrors as well ?

They do handle beautifully but you cant ride one like an IL4. I find them very comfortable despite the limited tank range. In 2005 the swingarm was changed and some minor electrical improvements were done. I still have a 2006 999R and the reason I have is that I just cant let her go. Its a marmite thing on looks but the sound is just awesome and as for the so called Ducati reliability all my bikes have never missed a beat.

i dont think the bike has been down the road, it appears to clean and too much history for that plus i trust the dealer. also wouldnt make sense to spend money getting all new panels and then not putting new mirrors on to finish it off. the mirrors do appears to be be ducati ones like you say as the glass is embezzled with ducati performance. ive aked the dealer to try and find out for me what the situation is and if they have got the original mirrors. could those mirrors have been got as an option when the bike was new?

ive had a aprillia rsvr before my hayabusas and i loved the sound of it with the akropovics on it plus really like a vtwin engine it suits the way i ride.

Nope the Ducati Performance mirrors are definately an aftermarket option as I have them fitted to my 999R ;)

Have you decided on which tyres yet ? I just had a set of Pirelli Rosso Corsas fitted to the 1098R and they are very good , £25 cashback as well :D

the mirrors very much look to be a ducati part as ive found them on the ducati website as a touring option.
ive no idea on the tyres to be honest as ive left it with the dealer.

Ducati Performance parts are 'official' Ducati parts just to clear up any confusion and appear in the catalog but are not an option for a new bike ;)

As I said I have the same ones fitted to my 999R so nothing wrong with them :D

will do cheers mate. will be very sorry to see the busa go as i love it but i feel its a good deal and i can always get another one at some point but ducatis are that little bit special.

yes mate collecting it on tuesday providing its not raining. only planning on keeping it for a year really then selling it on.
