I thought he would just put on a megamix at some point and have a snooze interspersed by some random general recordings of him being an idiot, but I presume he's on webcam too?
 
Live webcam on radio ones website... lot better than just listening to the radio.. i dunno more immersive i suppose!

And 50 hours!?

I thought it was just 37... random time i know but still being alert and active for that amount of time is still quite difficult (yes we've all been there doing 24hr coursework not to the best of standards :p)

They can only have 5 minute breaks every hour, though they can save them up but other than that they are behind the mic every minute.

It's actually better than I thought it would be. I wouldn't be able to find something to talk about for 10 minutes nevermind 16 hours.

I doubt they will make it tbh. That would be some feat, I reckon I could manage 24 hours starting at 6.30 and finishing there the next morning but I couldn't do more. When I start at 7pm I struggle to get to 7am without atleast an hours kip :D

There's no way in hell I could go 48 hours and would need red bull on drip to get to 37.

Saving it up would be suicide for anything more than a fag break. Once you slowed down for a break you would be in trouble. Well I would be :D
 
I wonder if they get so tired they say a sweary :), but yeah, if you were up for 38 or even 50 hours, you could do it, but having to host a radio show with the listening figures they have, you must be on high alert, up for it, chatty, funny etc etc, must be draining
 
she doesn't seem bothered to be part of radio history.

"So Katie B, Have you donated today....? Errr.... no signal down ere" you'd at least lie then donate later!!!!??

She'd get it though....! ;)
