My 2 cents are just make sure he positions it exactley where you want it, and dont feel like your being a pain if you ask him to move it more than twice, its there for life! take some water with you and just relax. I kind of enjoyed the experience of having mine done, though he did have me in histerics for most of it :p

What do your words mean? I like the font,Mine are going to be in Edwardian script

When he starts I can see me lifting my arm up reflexing from pain?

Thanks will make sure position is right
When i booked they gave me instructions saying eat before, bring sweets sugary drink etc

Now that would be telling ;) its a quote about life.

Nah you shouldnt move tbh, at first its a very strange feeling i found. Feels like the vibration from a pair of hair clippers, crossed with the feeling of an injections along with quick scratching.

It was easily bearable i found. Certain bits will hurt more than others. The deeper the skin i found it stung more. The shallower the more it felt like cutting. The 'Ago' was the most painless, but after the first 5 minutes i got quite comfortable and was merely chatting away :D The V on the 'Vestri' hurt the most as it was accross the end of my shoulder/collar bone and he did it in one go. Usually they do them in cm lengths and stop to wipe etc etc.

It will bleed, so dont be alarmed when you see blood. Make sure he wears clean gloves and doesnt touch anything other than the gun and his cloth once he has them on!

Dont worry about the pain as it isnt as intense as when you get a paper cut or stub your toe, for me it hurt less, but maybe I have a good pain threshold, who knows! Its not painless, but isnt what i'd call painful.

Also some advice, if your having any of the letters filled in ask him to do the outlines first and then shade them in. I personally think shading looks better, afterall if you dont like it just get him to fill it in. Be sure to post some pics once its done :) anything else you'd like to know?

Edit: Mines 'Edwardian Script ITC', but i removed parts of the V's and changed a few other bits about. The way i saw it, i could go back later and have them done as oppose to dislike them for life!

Well got it all done didn't hurt as much as I was expecting it to, last bit was a bit more painful when he was shading in. Nice people, good relaxed atmosphere Lurther vandross playing in the background.

I like it, nice font too. I still can't decide on the font for my next tat!

Wouldn't it be ironic if you walked out of the parlour, not thinking whilst admiring your new ink, and promptly stepped in front of a bus? ;):p

Got my first tattoo tomorrow. I'm a bit aprehensive about it but im sure it'll be fine. Costing £80 and its roughly 9x9cm.

where abouts are you having it?

I was very aprehensive aswell. When he put stencil on it wasn't in the right place so i got him to wipe it off and replace it, When he did this I felt abit hot/dizzy so he said sit down for abit, and that was even before he started :) I was alright after that.

mine took just over 2 hours and cost £120 had already paid £60 deposit of that though when i booked

I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo. I just don't see the attraction, the novelty for me would definitely wear off very quickly and would want to get rid of it, but you can't. stuck for life. Not worth it in my opinion.

oh sorry just seen this erm, last one was about 2 months ago? long time for me, as after my first tattoo i got inked every 3 weeks, back on track now, definately no more pictures until sleeve is finished. :)

Just have a play with the fonts in word, thats how I found mine :)

And yes that would be :p though common sense teaches most people not to wander out into roads ;)
