Christianity and Creationism - some clarification

I had no motivation. I didnt want to do a rubbish dissertation where my topic was 'Show people pictures of things that cause allergies and see if it triggers an allergic response' (given to me by my dissertation supervisor).

I wasnt aware that I wouldnt be able to work a year after I finished uni, I entered a full time job at Asda while trying to find a simple tech support / call centre job (there were several such places available where I went to uni, but I didnt hear back from any of my applications). Failing that I was going to try and get a simple receptionist job at the NHS before I ended up getting too ill from my hearing + balance disorder.

I had no motivation at all to complete the final year of my degree. My lecturers tried very hard to convince me to complete it, but I just couldnt get myself to do a single thing towards my dissertation beyond the initial 500 - 1000 word research proposal to carry out an Eliza Assay test on blood samples, which was accepted by the university, but then declined by my dissertation supervisor because the equipment it needed was too expensive. TBH thats was probably a good thing, because if they had wasted however much it cost to get the kit in, I probably still wouldnt have had any motivation to do it.

OK, that is fair enough. I can empathise with not having or not being able to find the motivation.

Given your circumstances would it be something (studying, maybe OU) that you would consider doing again?

I found it to be rewarding and helped me deal with a lot of issues I had after I was forced to leave the Marines.

I was planning on doing an MA in Music (requires absolutely any undergraduate degree + audition, no grade requirement), but I injured my wrist so cant play the Piano anymore.

I dont want to bother with studying Science ever again, I didnt even want a job in the field, but Biology or Geography were the only two subjects I was able to study. Biology = labwork, Geography = field trips. I picked the lesser of two evils.

Also theres no way I would want to pay to do another undergrad degree, its too long, expensive and wont help me at all. I wouldnt have any motivation to study again or get any of the coursework / revision done.

OU would be a terrible option for me because the only thing I liked about uni was living on campus and partying all the time. Sitting at home and doing a degree = /cutwrists to me.

Fair enough. Sorry to hear you can no longer play the piano.

Yes, there is no proof in science except maths, theory is not fact, scientific theory doesn't reveal the truth etc. But scientific theory is falsifiable, which gives it a fairly hefty weight for someone to decide on its likelihood of it being 'correct' or (loosely speaking) 'factual'.p

unfortunately it wasn't even that.

It was because there is no scientific evidence, it is scientific fact that god doesn't exist.
That isn't a littel misunderstanding about the predictable model. That is as I said total abuse of science and something very common in the vocal atheists which becomes very annoying.

Ha ha, epic troll site. Jesus, I feel a right idiot now.

Lol. It can be really funny though.

It seems you either haven't read the recent announcement about posting in threads about religion or are ignoring it. Whichever it may be, please acquaint yourself with it before continuing to post on such topics. Thank you. SPW

Greater definition required for.

"The issue of beliefs is a sensitive one for many people and this does not mean that there can be no criticism of religion but do think about how you present your arguments".

It's impossible to criticise religion without somebody getting offended, it's also impossible to support human sacrifice, sexism, racism, homophobia without offending me & many other rational people.
