Civic Type R, the proper one...

It is not economical from cold. Your economy average is boosted by the 13 miles with a warm engine. I drive 5 miles from cold and its currently showing 19.7mpg.

i wouldnt class the engine as warm after only 5 miles, getting there maybe, but if you're doing trips that short would a 5mpg drop really affect you that much, since you're using sweet fa petrol anyway.

I've only found what's on Wiki about the car.

I like the high revs thing and the handling and the mechanical grip and the oversteer but there's no point in taking my interest further if it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

It got a nice review from Evo, however I believe they didnt like it because it could, or should've been more powerful

Apologies for more boring questions but.........the 2008 320i petrol engine
(170bhp) - is it any good?

0-60 takes 7.9 seconds which seems ok-ish.

Presumably economy is bang on with this engine being one with ED.

I had a 2006 320i for 6 weeks. It was 150bhp and I felt it was underpowered. 0-60 was quoted at 9 seconds. I'm not sure how much difference 20bhp is going to make..

I've had nothing but problems finding an FD2 to drive. I saw an ad for the silver one Torque Imports have, went to their website and sent an email enquiry and heard nothing back, so I rang. Their website is totally out of date and they only have a white one brand new which you can't test drive. Over the phone they told me the CO2 was 204g/km, but when I rang back to ask more questions it suddenly jumped to 219g/km. Well, whatd'ya know.

Litchfield also only have brand new so you can't test drive one till you've handed over a deposit. Er, right o! I refuse to go to Scotland just to test drive one. I've even thought about a CW FN2, but soon got over that silly idea.

That 325i M Sport is awesome, but having just found out what a remap can do to the diesel flavours I'm I'm finding myself favouring those now!

A mate had a new 320d M Sport, remapped to approx 200BHP, and that was a very nice car, he absolutely rated it, and was a bit disappointed when he 'upgraded' to a new 530d, as it just didn't feel as responsive, even though he now has a 535d Touring, he still misses the taughtness and responsiveness of his 320d.. (Odd I know!)

Can't go wrong with a 3 series really. People critacise others for always following the masses but at the end of the day when you actually drive one you can see what all the fuss is about.

The only problem with the M Sport 320d is it still looked exceedingly 'plain'.. and that ugly rear end does it no favours..

I love BMW's :( Just great to drive, zero understeer, planted at high speed, kitted out with all the goodies you'll ever need all in a squeek free solid feeling shell.

Don't care, I don't have to look at it, I'll be sat in the front. :p

Sounds about right, the 3 Series is a touch sharper, always has been.
