What would be really nice with 7 is if they could release a complete game, rather than holding half of it back for several DLCs, they won't of course.

Nah, the franchise will simply be sold to the next highest bidder and be called Sid Meier Legacy, Civilization "Whatever number we're up to"!

the problem is they did a poor job with civ6 and got lazy and went down the eye candy route.

Yeah, VI never really clicked for me. I liked the ideas but I found they just didn't work in practice. Still, I think I still racked up 80 hours or so.

Sid Meier hasn't been actively in any of the mainline Civ games for decades, only on the mobile spin-off Civilization Revolution games.
